Cuddly Dragons and other AFDenizens
Everyone liked some form of cuddly(or plushie) animal when they were younger, whether it was a teddy bear, a rag doll, a dog or cat, or some other creature. However not many can say that they used to have a cuddly dragon! Hence the reason behind this set of pages - to promote the cuteness of cuddly dragons and to enable anyone to make their very own.
These pages do not contain just cuddly dragons, they also contain cuddly afdenizens. Afdenizens are individuals who were active in the alt.fan.dragons newsgroup, #afd DalNet IRC channel, or on the Alfandria MUCK. I thought it would be a great idea to make cuddly representations of the various characters I have encountered!

Fred was the first of the 'family', a lovely furry green and beige creation. Now I say 'was' because he has long ago flown the lair (along with a number of other cuddly offspring of various shapes) to take up residence elsewhere (and I haven't heard from him since October 1995). |

Suffolk Wyvern |

Snooze could be described as a sleepy bedtime Dragon, though he is technically a Suffolk Wyvern. He is always dozing, preferring the top of the record player (it's not used a lot)! He is most active at night when all the house are sleeping, raiding the fridge in search of Cadbury's chocolate and Virgin cola! |

Bean Bag Dragon |

Snowy (named because he looks a lot like Tintin's dog) is a lovable, furry, slightly tubby dragon. He's always got his snout in the cookie jar, or the cake tin. More of a couch potato than a fire-breather, you will generally find him stretched out on the sofa. |

Batty |

Batty is a loveable flying fox who can often be found on the DalNet IRC channel #afd. You may think it odd for a bat to be found on a primarily Dragon-inhabited IRC channel, but he just seems to fit in well. In actual fact Batty has brown fur with dark brown wings, but I couldn't get the material! |

Azhreia |

Azhreia is a slightly elderly, slightly cranky, but nonetheless lovable dragon. She is often found on the DalNet IRC channel #afd, or sitting back in her armchair with a pile of knitting. Her colouring here is spot on, the materials being easily obtained from the local material shop as offcuts and such like. Unfortunately I was unable to knit little multicoloured sockses for her feet - which would have been the icing on the cake. Still, you can't have everything. |
